For the Gospel, For the City

Gather: We intentionally gather as one.

As we all come together in certain settings, we encourage one another with the truths of God. When we see other followers of Jesus in our community engaging through singing praises to God and sitting under the Word of God, it spurs our hearts to love and trust God more, and it grows our love for one another.

We value the Sunday morning gathering where we can all worship together as the Northway family through singing and through engaging God’s Word. This is not just an event we attend, but it is a gathering in which we participate. Our services are at 9:00AM and 10:30AM.

Connect: We authentically connect with others.

While our corporate settings are fruitful for our walks with Jesus, we recognize our deep need to live in authentic community with other believers in our daily lives. We need tight knit community that we not only worship alongside in corporate settings but that we walk together with through our everyday lives. We need people to lean on in trying times, confide in for wisdom, and to in love and truth spur us on to obey Christ.

We walk aside one another as we follow Jesus, and our Home Teams are a pivotal way we personally invest in community. Home Teams are small groups of 6-16 people who meet together at a time and place of their own choosing to study the Bible, pray, and cultivate deep community.

Invest: We selflessly invest our time and resources.

As followers of Jesus, we are called to use our resources, passions, and abilities to build one another up in Christ and love others well. We recognize that all that we have is given to us by God, and we honor him by giving back to him what is his.

We give of our time and abilities through sacrificially serving our Northway family, and we sacrificially give a portion of our money and resources to be used for the ministry of the church. We have many avenues through which our people love and serve one another ranging from Sunday morning serving to meeting the needs of our people who have experienced loss.

Invite: We continually invite others to love and trust Jesus.

We know that as disciples of Jesus we are called to help one another follow Jesus and to make more disciples of Jesus. We must always be moving towards others with the gospel. Whether a new believer, or a seasoned believer, we all have the responsibility to make disciples of Jesus.

At Northway, we help advance God’s Kingdom through structured outreach such as our Storehouse Ministry, and we also do this organically through our people moving with the gospel towards others in their day to day lives.
